2012 Games For Soldiers Donation Drive
During the month of June 2012, Old Republic Radio and the Old Republic Dads will be running a month-long event to benefit the Games for Soldiers Charity. Games for Soldiers is a charity created by film and voice actress Catherine Taber, who is the voice of such characters as Mission Vao (Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic), Vette (Star Wars: The Old Republic MMO), Sienna “Party Girl” Fowler (Resident Evil ORC) and she is currently the voice of Senator Amidala on the hit TV Series, Star Wars: Clone Wars. Games for Soldiers provides new and used video games, consoles, comic books and related items to our soldiers currently deployed overseas. During the rare downtime for our nation’s protectors, video games can provide them safe, relaxing entertainment and take their minds off of the stresses they face on a daily basis. To date, Miss Taber has been able to send almost 100 full boxes of items to our deployed soldiers! We aim to increase that number exponentially.
The Old Republic Radio Podcast and the Old Republic Dads Guild will run this charity event from May 28th – July 8th, 2012. For every game donated, an entry will be submitted for the individual to win a number of prizes. Int he month of June Old Republic Radio will be drawing for prizes and on July 8th Catherine Taber will be on the show to draw the grand pirze winners.

*Each donation of games, comics, DVD s or postage will be entered into a drawing for several prizes of varying value to be drawn on ORR during the month of June. On the first weekend in July, Old Republic Radio will announce the Grand Prize Winner (Grand Prize to be determined).
